Chef Christian Messier Announces the New Fall and Winter Menus


ATLANTA (November 3, 2008) - Chef Christian Messier unveils his new fall/winter brunch, lunch and dinner menus at the Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View, adding dishes inspired by the seasonal ingredients and flavors.

Selections from the brunch menu include Fried Chicken Buttermilk Marinated Chicken Breast with Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits; Southern Style Chicken Sausage Gravy, Carrots and Kale; Crab Cakes "Benedict" with Spicy Ham, Poached or Scrambled Eggs, Hollandaise Sauce and Griddled Breakfast Potatoes; Eggs Over Atlanta including Two Eggs Scrambled, Brioche Toast, your choice of Roasted Breakfast Potatoes or Grits and Bacon.

Highlights from the lunch menu include Sweet Potato Tortelloni with Sautéed Duck Confit, Cabbage, Kale and Bacon with Duck Jus and Lingonberry Jam; and Shrimp and Grits featuring Rock Shrimp Ragout, White Corn Grits Cake, Corn Cream, served with Red Eye Gravy; and Georgia White Shrimp Cocktail with Fresh Horseradish Sauce.

New entrees from the dinner menu include 16 oz. Angus Beef Cowboy Ribeye with Mustard Herb Butter, Barbeque Roasted Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower Gratine; Niman Ranch 12 oz. Pork Chop with Magtag Blue Cheese and Bacon, Vanilla and Citrus Candied Sweet Potatoes, Spiced Greens and Cranberry Apple Compote; Oven Roasted Ashley Farms Chicken Breast with Butternut Squash, Mushroom, Chicken Sausage, Brown Rice and Chestnut Dressing with Spiced Greens; Black Pearl Scottish Salmon with Sapelo Island Clams and Creamy Potato Stew; Pan Seared Maine Diver Scallops with Truffled Cauliflower Yukon Gold Mash, Brown Butter Sauce and Kale.

The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View is Atlanta’s original tri-level complex with a revolving upscale restaurant, a rotating cocktail lounge, as well as an observatory view level. Situated atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza at 210 Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta, the Sun Dial offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of Atlanta, live jazz, seasonally-influenced contemporary American cuisine and specialty desserts. The Restaurant serves lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and brunch from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. each Sunday. Dinner is served nightly from 6 - 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 6 - 11 p.m. on Friday and from 5:30 - 11 p.m. on Saturday.
