CHEF CHRISTIAN MESSIER, Executive Chef, The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View
Chef Messier integrates 15 years of culinary experience into creating the contemporary American cuisine at The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View. Chef Messier maintains the seasonality of The Sun Dial's menu by incorporating the finest ingredients with his own creative flair.
Chef Messier came to The Sun Dial from The Renaissance Grand Downtown St. Louis-Convention Hotel where he was chef for almost two years. Prior to that, Chef Messier served as sous chef at The Phoenician, a five-star, five-diamond, world-class resort in Scottsdale, AZ. He began his career at the award-winning Country Club of the South in Alpharetta.

CHEF RUSSELL SLEIGHT, Executive Chef, The Westin Peachtree Plaza
Russell brings a tremendous amount of knowledge, leadership and commitment to both guest satisfaction and associate engagement. Over the last five years, he has proven to be a driven and respected leader at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.
Executive Chef Russell Sleight brings over 17 years of experience with him to his role of Executive Chef for the Westin Peachtree Plaza. Chef Sleight graduated from culinary school in New York, where he grew up. He began his career by delighting guests of the Marriott Corporation with his innovative menus followed by 2 years with Signature Hotels. When one of Starwood's endless possibilities presented itself, Chef Sleight joined the Westin Atlanta North in June of 1998 as the Chef de Cuisine and was promoted to Executive Chef. Chef Sleight joined The Westin Peachtree Plaza family as Executive Sous Chef in July of 2004.
CHEF KHOI V. NGUYEN, Pastry Chef, The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View
Renowned for his masterful dessert creations, Pastry Chef Khoi V. Nguyen has been commissioned to make some of the most important pastries in Atlanta's history, including a Fulton County stadium-shaped cake for the Braves' World Series team, a cake replica of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, and the cake for the city's 150th birthday.
Chef Nguyen has worked at The Westin Peachtree Plaza since it opened in 1976, and he has grown with the hotel. His career as a pastry chef officially began when he worked in the pastry shop of the hotel, where he fell in love with the entire creative process. Eventually, he became an apprentice to the pastry chef, and in 1980, he was recruited by the Omni International Hotel to work in their pastry department. Nguyen was reunited with The Westin Peachtree Plaza in 1982, and he has since remained the pastry chef for The Westin Peachtree Plaza and The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View.

GEORGE MARINOV, Bar Manager, The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View
Marinov brings 10 years of leadership and restaurant management experience to the Sun Dial. Marinov's responsibilities include managing the day-to-day front-of-house operations, implementing staff incentive programs, coaching and training for the Sun Dial. He assists the execution of special events and banquets.
Marinov most recently served as assistant manager for Dante's Down the Hatch in Atlanta and prior to that, he was manager of Odessos Café in Varna, Bulgaria.
A native of Varna, Marinov studied finance at Varna University of Economics. He owned and operated two Tonino coffee shops in Varna during the 90s and promoted international and local brands such as Coca-Cola, Nescafe, Panasonic and many others throughout Bulgaria.
